A little change...

So, i just found out that my entry for this month's 'kraft it up' blog challenge has been accepted for submission, so i'm going to have to withdraw that entry!! Luckily, i have another up my sleeve:

I had some fun doing challenges for the Scrapboutique CC over the weekend. I already shared one layout in my last post, so here are the other two i came up with - unfortunately only 2 in total got entered because my little miss was acting up on Monday night - meaning i couldn't finish the third LO until Tuesday!!

The second CC layout i did is using PP from the Basic Grey 'Oliver' range, along with some yummy cogs - i've used those yummy TIm Holtz metal cogs again - should have bought more of them i think!!!

The last LO (and the one that didn't get entered!!) is my favourite!! I've used some new MME, and a lovely new spellbinders die-cut that i got recently. I've used it kinda like hexagons, across the page and i just LOVE the result. Not to mention my little cutie in the corner - she's getting big now isn't she!!

The rest of my mojo week!!

I seem to be quite into kraft right now, perhaps that's because of the class i've started attending at 'Somewhere to Scrap' called "Krafty Konceptions". It's a whole album, like the album class i did last year, and i'm planning on finally scrapping my wedding!! I actually started scrapping to this very end, but have hardly made a dent! My first class was this week, and this is what i came up with for my title page:

Isn't this kraft paper fabulous? It's from Jillibean soup - they have released quite a number of these kraft papers recently, and i have snatched them up!!! Watch this space :D The banner has been created with a SU! punch i got recently - love it!!

Not sure how much scrapping i'm going to get done this week, after my mojo week (6 pages in total :D) I also managed 2 pairs of curtains for a client, plus finished 2 'hoot' dolls - aren't they adorable? I'm starting on 'Hootabelle' now - can't wait to see how she turns out!!!

Getting my mojo on with some kraft

Night 2 of my mojo week and i used this month's 'kraft it up' challenge as my inspiration:

This month is the month of LOVE, dont get scared and think this challenge is just about husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend love, I am opening this challenge up to LOVE in general.
HOWEVER I do want to see PINK on your layout somewhere and of coure your layouts must be created on Kraft CS or Kraft PP.

I'd been wanting to try my hand at some hexagonal work for a while now, so i had a go with this last night. I laid out my hexagons on some scrap paper, added a Tattered angels flourish mask and spritzed away :D I then decided to not waste all that mist on my mask, by placing it mist side down on my kraft background and popping a telephone book on top :D Thought it didn't stand out enough, so i outlined it in some dark brown :D

I've used lots of yummy embellishments on this one - lots from the vintage girl kit from the last Purple Pumpkin release (don't forget they have a sale on Friday!!), plus some yummy Prima pink, glittery, fluffy flowers :D

Tonight, i'm going to do the latest PageMaps blog challenge - i haven't done one of those in ages!!!! Wish me luck (and mojo :D) - thought i don't think i'll need much with such a gorgeous sketch - love your work Becky!!!

Project: Get my mojo back!!

Well, so far 2012 has been a very slow year in terms of scrapping. Scarlet is nearly 7 months now, and i remember this happening when Calvin was about the same age - it's a tricky age to be managing especially with a exuberant toddler on top!!!

So, i've decided to kick it up a notch this week. Project "Get my mojo back" - i'm scrapping at least one LO every night this week to try and get back into the rhythm of it all!! It's been taking me so long every time i scrap a LO, that it kids puts me off beginning one, especially now i have to pack up after i finish a LO - i miss the days of my own scrap space where i could pick up where i left off and leave a mess in the middle of a LO!!

Last night, i did this month's White with 1 challenge - White + Lemon + 3 photos. I used a white base that i was working on a few weeks ago - just playing with some gesso and flowers and pearls. Here's what i came up with, using some of the new MME range , along with some My Vintage Blossoms and Purple Pumpkin embellishments, plus of course some Tattered Angel's mists :D

I've been creating a 1st year calendar for Scarlet, scrapping a page about her on one side and using the other side as a calendar, keeping a record of her milestones. This month i used the Purple Pumpkin challenge as inspiration, along with a Webster's Pages lace, an old Prima vine that i've had on my 'to use' list for ages, some Sawyers place wash tape, a little bit of Authentique and of course some lovely Purple Pumpkin goodies :D

One last share today - my entry for the monthly stash stomper over at Scrap Boutique. I used some of the new Echo park boys range - just loving the helicopters on that range, plus HEAPS of random embellishments and a new crafters workshop template with lots of yummy mists. I seem to be doing more doubles that singles this year!! Crazy!!!
